The Coach and Horses - Ale and Food House
The Coach and Horses is a traditional London public house, situated in Clapham, South West London, away from the hustle of Clapham high street, towards the end of Abbeville Road.
Renovated and restored, it offers an extensive and lovingly maintained range of real ale and premium lager, a wine list sourced from all over the world and fresh simple food, all cooked to order and made with the finest ingredients.
With High Definition ( HD ) live premier league football, rugby and cricket, live music night, quiz night, free Wi-Fi, a beautifully tailored *function room to hire and reputedly the best Sunday roast in Clapham, a visit to the Coach and Horses really ought to be on your calender.
* Some of the best parties we have seen this year have been in our
function room. We are licensed for up to 60 guests. It has two screens, a DVD player, iPod cable, CD player, Sky TV and works fantastically well for parties, private dining, sporting events, meeting space or as a rehearsal room. We do not have a hire fee or minimum spend, just make the booking and come

As usual we will be showing all the matches we can between the downstairs and upstairs big screens and TV's.
Additional games such as the Carling Cup, F.A. Cup, Community Shield, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League will be shown where possible. We'll even show U21 and La Liga
or Bundesliga matches on those rare quiet spells.

Live Music at The Coach & Horses
Lil' Lost LouMoving the Coach and Horses Sessions to weekly Friday slots has proved popular, possibly because it gives you even more reason to check it out and not worry about the day after at work, but more probably because our featured artistes have been excellent.
For those of you who have yet to visit us on a Friday evening. The Coach & Horses Sessions is a free ( often semi ) acoustic night at our pub in Clapham. Regularly featuring several artistes playing short sets showcasing their music. Music commencing at 9'ish and finishing late.
We are always looking for aspiring and established musicians to perform an acoustic set in the intimate surroundings of this cosy pub. All genres of music considered.

Quiz Night at The Coach and Horses
Our regular Thursday pub quiz continues to do exceedingly well. The compere 'Big Jim' can mainly be seen around London in public houses, sometimes working, and often hosting and compering the best quizzes we have seen in quite some time.
Join him every Thursday at 20.30, entry fee of £2, winner takes all.
Don't forget Thursday also means two 'main' meals for £15 so why not make an evening of it.
New Menus - April 2010
We did our traditional quarterly 'rejig' of our food menus and decided to take a bit of a less formal approach to our menu structure. We have gotten rid of the 'starters' and instead stuck on some 'pub tapas' options ( not that we would be so
naff as to refer to it like that officially, but that's what it is ) for our small plate options, allowing those with a smaller appetite to pick and choose, or even some grazing options for bigger groups. From venison and red wine sausages to smoke haddock croquettes we have something for every taste, and at £9 for 3, or all 9 options for £25 they are very keenly priced.

Cask Marque Accreditation
Our accreditation from Cask Marque for our real ales is proving a positive bonus. For the uninitiated, Cask Marque is the body that monitors the dispense of ale in British pubs. They subject any potential new members to surprise visits where they taste the ale to check flavour, temperature, aroma and appearance. They also have a look in the cellar to make sure everything is up to scratch. So this means that you are guaranteed a great pint when you come to the Coach, with regular rotating ales such as Timothy Taylor Landlord, Sharps Doom Bar, Adnams, Summer Lightning, Sam Brooks Wandle and many more.
