The Coach & Horses - Ale and Food House
The Coach and Horses is a traditional London public house, situated in Clapham, South West London, away from the hustle of Clapham high street, towards the end of Abbeville Road.
Recently taken over, renovated and restored, it offers an extensive and lovingly maintained range of real ale and premium lager, a wine list sourced from all over the world and fresh simple food, all cooked to order and made with the finest ingredients.

Here at the Coach we are devoted to our four legged friends, so we make dogs more than welcome. Water bowls and rawhide chews available on request for the pooches, and we are also child friendly - you can bring the whole family!
Cask Marque Accreditation
Our accreditation from Cask Marque for our real ales is proving a positive bonus. For the uninitiated, Cask Marque is the body that monitors the dispense of ale in British pubs. They subject any potential new members to surprise visits where they taste the ale to check flavour, temperature, aroma and appearance. They also have a look in the cellar to make sure everything is up to scratch. So this means that you are guaranteed a great pint when you come to the Coach, with regular rotating ales such as Timothy Taylor Landlord, Sharps Doom Bar, Adnams, Summer Lightning, Winter Cheer and many more.

Wimbledon finishes for another year with the finals this weekend. The Ladies singles final Saturday. The Men's singles final Sunday.
The Ashes - July
After a great Twenty / 20 series, we are now looking forward to the Ashes. We'll be showing the matches from July 8th. For large groups why not book our function room, complete with waitress service, to watch the games in style.
2009 / 2010 Football Season ( Premiership & Championship )
The new football season is almost upon us. As usual we will be showing all the matches we can between the downstairs and upstairs screens and tv's.
The Championship league kicks off Friday 7th August. The first round of the Carling Cup on the 10th August. The Premiership starting a week later on Saturday 15th August.
New Chef - New Menus
A new chef always means new menus. And we are really excited about the creations put together by our new magician in the kitchen. Same rules as ever at the Coach - all fresh stuff made on site from the best quality ingredients, sourced locally wherever possible. Are menus are available on the food page in a downloadable format.
Quiz
Our weekly pub quiz is doing well with our new quiz master. 'Big Jim' can mainly be seen around London in public houses, sometimes working, and often hosting and compering the best quizzes we have seen in quite some time. Join him every Thursday at 8.30pm, entry fee of £2, winner takes all.
Live Music
Moving the Coach and Horses Sessions to weekly Friday slots has proved very popular, possibly because it gives you even more reason to check it out and not worry about the day after at work, but more probably because our featured artistes have been excellent. Music commencing at 9'ish and finishing late.
The Coach & Horses Sessions is a free acoustic night brought to you by one of South London's best kept secrets The Coach & Horses in Clapham.
We are looking for aspiring and established musicians to perform an acoustic set in the intimate surroundings of this cosy pub. All genres of music considered.
